July 26, 2019 (Houston, TX) — Dynamic Sports Training (DST) announces new partnership in Arizona.
Founded in 2008 by Lee Fiocchi, DST has been a mainstay of the sports scene in Houston, Texas. Most recently, their 3 Houston-area facilities have gained renown for their off-season training of several NFL and MLB athletes — including World Series Champions, Carlos Correa and Alex Bregman of the Houston Astros.
This past weekend, DST signed an agreement with Arizona Christian University (ACU) in Glendale, Arizona. The private training company will provide all strength & conditioning services for the Firestorm Athletic Department. ACU is a member of the Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
A lot has changed for DST since they opened their doors eleven years ago. Fiocchi is now in his third year serving as the Head Strength Coach for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. During the MLB season, he relies heavily on the team he has built over the past decade. Two important members of that team are Kevin Poppe, who was named Co-Owner in 2017 and Josh Graber, DST’s Director of Business Operations. Fiocchi praised his team for the work they continue to do with their client base or, as they refer to them, the DST Family. “They continue to strive for significance over success,” Fiocchi said. “We do our best to ensure every person we work with knows how much we care before we ever start training.”
The team at DST believes they have found a perfect fit in their partnership with ACU. “Our core values align so closely with one another,” Graber said. “There have been so many connections between DST and ACU that have made it clear this partnership isn’t coincidental. God’s hand has been on this whole process.”
Garrett Kelly, one of DST’s strength coaches, will be taking the lead at DST Arizona. Kelly, along with Graber and Poppe, spent considerable time meeting with most of the school’s athletics staff recently. “It’s the best of both worlds for me,” Kelly noted. GK, as his athletes call him, spent much of the beginning of his career in the collegiate setting prior to joining DST. “Finding a school that aligns with our beliefs is very exciting.”
The ACU staff expects big things from this new partnership as well. “We are thrilled about the partnership with DST,” Athletic Director Dr. Peter Dryer commented. “I have been so impressed with their team and their plans to work within our department. This is a significant step forward for ACU athletics.”
DST serves over 1,000 athletes of all ages in all sports in the Houston community. From youth athletes as young as seven years old to professional athletes, the staff at DST specializes in creating customized training programs and nutrition plans for individuals and teams alike. The company has its sights set on impacting as many athletes in a positive, lasting way as possible.
