This week, we got a chance to speak with the right-handed pitcher, Hayden Wesneski, on what his experience with Dynamic Sports Training (DST) has been so far. From Sam Houston State, Wesneski was drafted in the sixth round of the 2019 MLB Draft to the New York Yankees.
Hayden Wesneski first heard about DST through many of his peers at CyFair High School; he would come work out with his friends here after school about seven years ago. Wesneski is not new to the DST family, but he still feels like he is learning something new every day. When asked what he’s learned so far, he responded, “I have learned so much about how my body works. Literally, everything I have learned about how the body works from a mobility standpoint to recovery, to strength… anything from A to Z, you name it, I have learned over the years working out here.”
“I have absolutely loved being a pro. The people you meet are great and it’s everything I have ever wanted it to be. The competition is better, so I would say that’s the biggest challenge. Other than that everything has been awesome. Anything from meeting people around the world to off days you spend with your friends… I cannot just pick one moment, it’s all been a great experience,” Wesneski shared on his professional experience so far.
We asked one of our sports performance specialists, Kevin Williams, what it was like working with Wesneski. “Hayden is just that dude,” he said. “He just always brings a certain energy to the group. He’s always working hard and hyping up everyone around him. He definitely gets the group going.”
Wesneski is constantly finding ways to grow and expand his game, and we are looking forward to seeing what he does next.
